Hey
Just wondered if someone could answer me a medical question in simple terms for me, perhaps a doctor or someone who has had experience with this matter.....
My niece who is 3 has suspected autism but also seems to have an issue with her muscles.
She can walk for only a little amount of time before becoming increasingly tired and saying her legs hurt and it takes here a fair while to recover. She has been undergoing blood tests for the last few months and recently been told that her lactic acid level is 5, when as it should be 1.......so I'm led to believe...?
I have read that a build up of lactic acid has regularly been accused of causing muscle soreness and pain, when most commonly it's actually the muscle cells that are damaged.
Obviously I'm no doc but I would be most grateful if anyone could shed some light on the subject and give us some clue as to why her lactic levels are so high.....
Like I mention she is on the autism spectrum ... .could it be linked ?
Thanks in advance
Edited due to stupid phone self spelling different words for me
