Ping Drago, looks like armaments

Seriously though, looks aluminium, corroded and looks like it has a lattice type internal structure. Is that a rubber piece on the end ? A bung perhaps ?

I think part of a battery . I noticed something kind of like it but very decayed and had blow open .
The area has had a new path bulldozed through it and all this stuff is now on the surface or just under . Part of what was Hounslow heath and very close to the river crane that leads onto the Thames . I assume this was a dumping ground for war time rubble
I'll look for that penny on tomorrows dog walk :okay:

Looks like there is a small hole above that rubber / Bakelite thingy , it extends past that a little .
