Hi,
I'm looking for information on this cycle, mainly its age, I am unable to read the serial number which is under the BB due to thick paint, if this would help I'd be prepared to investigate,
Quinns Lightweight Cycle (is this a relation of Harry Quinn?)
Reynolds 531 double butted frame, original paint and chrome
Shimano 600 front and rear gear (no date codes found query pre '76?)
52/42 600 chainset (date code indicates 1980, I think this is a newer edition)
Weinman 605 brakes
Brookes B17 Champion Standard saddle
Birmalux 27mm seat pin
Sunshine large flange hubs (which I have never heard of, unsure of quality although they are smooth running)
27 inch Mavic rims
Cinelli Criterium handlebar
SR Royal stem
Tange Falcon headset
Suntour Power gear levers
It certainly has a Japanese slant to its components although the rear drop outs are Campagnolo!
I'm uneasy about the Shimano although I am intrigued due to this being their older stuff, may well give in and equip it with classic Record once I find out which era to use!
Any help appreciated,
Steve
