Any Model Boat People Here?

Picked this up at a garage sale yesterday -

It was listed at the princely sum of £2, I actually gave the woman £3 for it. It looks to be complete, owned by her late husband who bought it years ago but never got round to making it.

Anyone know anything about these kits?

Don't know anything about the kits.But it will occupy you through the winters nights and at that price doesnt matter if you make a bit of a mess of it.
I would think that they are fairly expensive though.

The rigging will keep you busy for a day or two!

But I have been a keen modeller in the past and a boat does appeal, so I'll give it a go.

Looks like one of the boat kits that I used to sell in Hobbystores, but I can't remember the maker right now. Constructo? Might have been Italian.
Its not like an Airfix kit. You'll need wood glue and lots of clamps and patience!

Similar to a Billings kit.

I think that's maybe a pulse jet, just like the ones that used to power the German V1 flying bomb. Quite easy and cheap to make I believe. Or could some sort of rocket propulsion.
