I got mine direct from Tannus UK and my lbs fitted them, apparently without much problem. Ask me again in a couple of months for my thoughts, should have a better idea what they are like.

The noise is no worse than a treaded trail tyre. They do take a little bit of getting used to as far as cornering goes though. They don't behave like a pneumatic tyre, and as long as you realise that, they are not to bad.

There's usually a slight sort of 'phweeeeeeee' noise when cornering at speed, but that noise if made by my mouth, because I enjoy cornering at speed.
Apart from the initial harshness I've not noticed any difference between these tyres and air filled tyres.

But then I don't corner like this fellow:
looking at the surface he is riding on and the angle he is cornering at I have difficulty in believing that picture isn't faked!!
He is not actually moving. There is probably a crane above him with wires attached to the bike and every limb of his body!
If not what tyres was he using?!

I find a decent set of proper commuter tyres to be fairly bomb proof. Punctures are a very rare thing with them. Mostly pucntrures seem to be with track tyres so many seem to use on the road. But I don't cycle in town.
I think I cornered (or not) like that Sunday. I have some monster bruises completely black just above my tackle. Clearly my cornering leaves a lot to be desired.
