I'm considering a wheel set upgrade on my Synapse. Currently i have the stock Mavic Aksium Disc fitted. Whilst the wheel set isn't awful they are the cheapest relative component on my spec bike (synapse carbon disc di2 ultegra 2016). I've had the bike a year now and thinking some new rims could be my treat for cycling related equipment for this season.

I've read some reviews on Hunt wheel sets and most if not all seem to be really good. Having not had any personal experience i was wondering is any of you guys have. I definitely want to stick with alloy rims as a 87kg rider and very pot holey roads i don't think carbon would be wise. These are the ones i'm thinking about https://www.huntbikewheels.com/coll...-disc-brake-road-bike-wheelset-tubeless-ready

My mate who's a bit heavier has Hunt wheels, he's also the very analytical type so would have been a lot of consideration before he bought and I can't recall him ever saying anything bad about them. Another couple of mate who have started building bikes specs their frames with Hunts and one of them will be at least your size and has done a few cobbled classics on them no problem.
