Yes, I've got an RT58, it was a roadbike, now it's got flatbars

Hi I have the same bike bought 8 weeks ago. For the money I think you would be hard to find anything better. Also 5 of my Club members have bought from Planet X and we are all happy bunnies.

Yep, it's a nice bike for what it cost (£500) and the ordering and delivery process was painless

It was a bargain, I essentially bought it for the groupset which is now on my carbon roadbike! Then it was converted using the groupset from the carbon

It's only done 300 miles, essentially as I'm not bike fit and have 3 other bikes to choose from when I do ride

I'm sure if you use the search function, you'll find feedback on the carbon models

I think @Saluki has a couple

I have an RT-58 also. Love it, however, looking to upgrade to the pro carbon frame set in the future.

I'd suggest SRAM over Ultegra. However, if it ever got sold, the Ultegra would hold its value I guess.

I have a carbon RT-58, which I love, in vicksters favourite colour - matt black ^_^.

I went for the RT-58 after reading about some people having speed wobble issue on the pro carbon. No saying if it's the frame or 'operator error' though. I live within an hour or so driving distance from one of their shops to went across to see the bikes before I bought. Was sold on the 58 as soon as I sat on it and did a few spins on their turbo.

The carbon RT-57 & RT-58 have now been relaced by the RT-80 & RT-90 though.

I'd absolutely love the RT-58 in carbon. Wish they still sold it.

I have a Pro Carbon but it has SRAM Rival rather than Ultegra. I like it though it does feel like it's always telling me that it can go faster. That's what happens, I guess, when you have a bike that's quicker than its rider....

It feels very responsive to me - my initial feeling was that it was twitchy but that was before I fully relaxed on it when that impression disappeared completely. Ordering and delivery were fine though I was surprised that it had been shipped with the dérailleur all cabled up but detached from the hangar. More surprisingly, the indexing was still almost perfect when I put it back together again.

I'd say your linked bike is a very good buy.

I also have a RT58. From my experience, it was just a case of sitting and waiting (actually I was mulling over a new bike for ages) and then hitting the button when they did the offer on the bike I was interested in. I do like the pro carbon, it's been around for a while and prices and spec do vary from time to time.

I have that bike with SRAM Rival 22 - mine came with Vision Team 30 wheels but they have since been replaced by a set of Fulcrums It's a fast, comfortable bike with a great specification for the price.

The only problem I had was the bottom bracket only lasted a year before needing replacement, but that was a GXP item, not whatever is fitted to Shimano builds.

I got a bargain "new other" pro carbon frame and built it up from a donor Cube that was a smidgen too small. I loved it. It was a tad twitchy but soon got used to it with wider bars. It was replaced with a Deda Gladiatore after my crash. (insurance job....)
