Trying to kill two birds with one post here.

I've got two taps that leak when they are open; a drinking water tap (1st image) and a valve (2nd image). Can you get replacement washers for drinking water taps and if so, how do you get to take them apart? In relation to the leaking valve (2nd image), I presume this is just a case of replacing the washers right?

its only common sense to get them apart ,get a few washers of different sizes and make sure yo turn off/isolate the supply ,even after you do that there will b some residual water hanging about so put an old towel or something around that area
for the pipe make sure you have a pair of grips/stilsons on the body of the valve to secure it before you try and release the nut nearest where ur hand goes ,otherwise its easy to kink the pipe /loosen previously good seals /joints and ul b giving urself more work

I think the second one is just a case of undoing the nut around the spindle and wrapping a bit of PTFE tape around etc. It used to be hemp and grease within but I'm not sure what's 'legal' these days. No need to turn the water off but it would be good to close the valve and open it anyway...
