Castleford Tigers is an improvement. Our nickname used to be The Glassblowers.

I'd support someone else!!

Scotland have just qualified to play in the 4 Nations 2016 by winning the European Championship; the title went to the final game and Ireland came up short in their final game against Wales where they need to win by over 40 points to clinch the title; final score was Wales 14 Ireland 46.

My team, Leigh Centurions play Leeds Rhinos tonight in the Challenge Cup Quarter Finals & although I know we will get tatered I am super excited...

this got me to thinking if there are any other R.L fans in CC Towers.

As a Mancunian & if I were sticking to the support your home town team mantra, I suppose I should be supporting Salford or Swinton but until I moved to Leigh aged 11 I only knew football (Man Utd fan).

Tonight then my beloved Centurions are on the telly box, LIVE & in HD having won 16 straight games (sorry can't get rid of bold type on phone) - Unbeaten all season ('least until tonight).

Who do you support ?

How are they doing ??

Yep

Im a RL fan, I suport RL of any standard, im from St Helens but my favorite team is Catalan

That's an odd team to support if your from St Helens..

Each to their own though & at least you follow the best sport (alongside cycling)

Saints had a great year, well done to them, rather Saints than Wigan any day.

Its because I love RL and not alinged to where I live

I played against France at under 19s level, they were fantastic, id love to see that talent grow

I go to 50% of Bradford City's away games and often sit/stand in the "home " end, never have a problem.

I like RL, a bit, enough to give me reason to diss RU which I don't like at all. I've switched allegiance from the Bulls to Keighley, the latter I can cycle to in 40 mins, the former I just got fed up of and won't see again until they do something sensible for once, move to Valley Parade.

Former Keighley season ticket holder for many seasons when I was a kid. Only stopped when I moved away. They gave season tickets away to school kids one year (already had mine). Favourite memory is Keighley getting the better of Castleford and then taking Warrington to the wire in the quarter finals of the old Regal trophy many years ago. Been to Odsal plenty of times to watch the Bulls play in big games as a neutral. Don't go anymore as I live too far away in union territory. Had Setanta for just over a year and the NRL offerings were excellent. Gutted when they went bust. Don't get to see many games anymore unfortunately.

I played for a few clubs at reserve level, played at Keighly once and got smashed in the throat with an elbow, very sore, that would have been around 20 years ago, some big prop!

20 years ago? Big prop? Let's test my shocking memeory. Ian Gateley, Steve Hall, David Larder (son of Phil), Joe Grimma, Darren Fleary? Surely not Brendan "Big Bren" Hill? I remember Big Bren coming on at an away game somewhere. He really was a big unit and could only do 20 minures every half but actually a good player with good skills. The opposition supportes all laughed when he came on. The first two players to tackle him were stretchered off. No one was laughing anymore

That's a really unlucky knockout. A hip bone! Fleary was a good player. Phil Larder brought him in not long after he took over coaching. When Carl Metcalfe came in as chairman under a flurry of lies it all went wrong for the club. Not sure about the "open secret" about Metcalfe as described in the second article but I was a dirty student at the time and only home in the summer. Club was ruined. Darren Fleary was one of the players bought by Leeds in their big player buyout for not much money. Can't blame Leeds for that. I saw Darren Fleary playing first team for Leeds and he did well there.

I was a Hull FC fan for many years and a regularly watched them at the Boulevard before they moved to the KC Stadium. I went for trails with them and ended up playing against Clive Sullivan. I didnt get chosen and Clive became GB captain...good decision Hull FC.

I have lost interest since they started messing around with names as if pretending to be American helps the game.
