Any Runners On Here??

My Son Brandon is going through a bit of a struggling patch lately. Ran a 5k as part of a Sportlink race series today (Which includes a 5k, 5m, 10k, 1/2 Marathon, 20m etc). Only managed a 17.28 chip time for 18th place overall. But more importantly; that grabbed him a few more points and he is still clinging onto the lead after 7 of the 9 races in the series……😁

Not sure if I'd ever describe myself as a runner but I am currently working my way through the couch to 5k programme.

Managed to get to week 6 which is by far the furthest I've ever managed!

Aim is to start doing the parkruns in the next few weeks.

Well a few weeks later and I finally got to a parkrun event locally yesterday.
Really enjoyed it, ran the whole way round and finished in a smidge under 35 mins 😁

Can see this getting quite addictive!

Well done. I need to pluck up the courage to do our local one. I would probably take a similar time I think.

Had planned to do another one in a fortnight but have decided to go to a different one tomorrow instead.

Well done. I need to pluck up the courage to do our local one. I would probably take a similar time I think.

New course, slightly faster than last week, again managed the whole 5k without having to walk.

Think I'm now officially a runner 😁

Quite like a bit of Parkrun tourism myself! It’s a great initiative.

Parkrun canceled due to heavy load passing country park! 😡

Yesterday's outing. Isle of Skye Ultra.
Foul weather early on made the high ground over the Trotternish ridge very testing. Strong headwind most of the day.
Felt very strong and pushed on well in the second half for a 6th place finish.
A nice friendly event, only 100 running so got very strung out. Kudos to those who pushed on through the night amd were finishing this morning.
