I've never played at being Santa before, and not having kids means it's been a very long time since I visited one!
I started a new job in January at a care home for dementia and alzheimers sufferers (26 residents), and have volunteered to be Santa at the Christmas party in a couple of weeks time, and again on Christmas day.
Not wanting to make a mess of it; so anybody got any useful tips on ho ho how to make a good Santa? Bearing in mind the audience.....

I usually do it for the kids party in work (I'm not doing it this year)
There are pre wrapped presents, labelled for all the children, I have to read them out and pass them across the the children (I have it as non contact)
It can be a challenge as there are plenty of non Anglo Saxon names!
They sing a couple of carols, I bob my head about a bit to the music, as they get to the last verse of the second carol I make my exit.

Keep it simple, don't jig about too much or your beard might fall off.
