I had this bird land on my feeder this morning,
Sorry about the quality of the pic but it is zoomed in and taken through a double glazed door on my phone.

Smaller and fluffier than a pigeon, but looks similar. but just as messier an eater, throwing bread all over the place.

What’s the point
collared dove, we have a few land in the trees at the back of the postage stamp we call a back garden.


and its not twitchers. twitchers are anorakky types who get really excited about seeing a rare one of a kind etc. ornithologists or bird watchers is the term I believe.

Collared Dove then.... Thanks all. Not seen one in my garden before.

Often see them in pairs. Lovely birds.

Collared dove - lovely to look at but second only to pheasants in the 'stupidity road sense' league
