tall buildings are more efficient if land is in short supply and transport takes advantage of the density to reduce trip distances. Having one tall building a car's drive from the next one doesn't cut it.....

All that deveopment would have been wasted anyway because the traffic congestion was so bad that you could spend 6 hours in an 8 hour working day just sitting in the car. Even when the traffic was that bad there were hundreds of thousands of unfinished apartments sprouting from the desert; the place was already choking to death without all the extra residents.

I wonder what the Koran says about avarice and pride?
