This all sounds amazing to me! I'm in Reykjavik when gay pride is on so I'm expecting not to sleep for those few days!

If you go on to the App store there is an Iphone app "appy hour" which is a guide to happy hours in Reykjavik

Do be aware though that beer is expensive (£5+ per pint) so a lot of people buy drinks at the duty free and party at home / in the hotel before going out.

I have never been out of the US, and have never had a passport. I have only been west of the Mississippi river twice, and not more than 100 miles past it either time. That was to Minnesota and to New Orleans. I have been up and down the east coast as far as NY here as well as several mid west states.

I did inquire about getting a passport but things came up and I never followed through with it but maybe someday I will get one. UK and Europe would be at the top of the list but I think I would like Australia too. I would probably like most places but it would require some thought and preliminary planning before I could convince myself to actually travel outside the US. Maybe some day.

I've only ever been to Europe (Amsterdam,Prague,Jersey and CPH this June) and sadly it will remain so.

I love flying but i just can't stand being seated in the same place for more than an hour or so, which kind of defeats me flying. Longest flight was to and from Prague and i wanted to claw myself out of the plane halfway through. I've done the return Train journey to Edinburgh and going there wasn't too bad but coming home was torture.

I'd love to go to New York and I think I could just about handle the flight there if i got a 10am flight (club class) to Newark but the flight home would be a no,no as they are wither too early or late afternoon

If you can afford Club, then get overnight flights and just sleep through them. BA's flat beds are very comfy, Virgin's are even better.

But you can walk about on a train (and to a certain extent planes), so you don't have to be seated in the same place for hours!!
