Anybody used Park Tools Tyre boot as permanent solution to torn tyre?

I'm no lorry tyre expert, but that ^^^ just doesn't seem right to me.

If its like Asia, they'll be inner tubes so the condition of the tyre isn't that important. They probably don't get above 50 mph either.

Perhaps I shouldn't, but I have left that style of boot in place until the tyre is worn out on more than one occasion.

I wouldn't want to leave a tyre boot in, I'd be too worried about the damaged tyre failing.

Out on the road in an emergency is all they are good for. Dig deep and buy a matching pair of tyres. Cut a couple of peices off the damaged one and stick em in your saddle bag!
