If you get a sudden urge, god forbid, to go all sporty and healthy, you could go to Club La Santa for a day of 'everything' - http://www.clublasanta.com/en/sports.
I'm not sure if day visits are available, but give it a go.
I was there twice in the late '90s and had a great time (even added to my cutlery collection ).
The overriding impression I had of Lanzarote last time we were there (Mr R's family are big fans) wasrhe number of Waynes and Waynettas riding around the various resorts on tandem mobility scooters.
Stayed there with a mate for two weeks cycling. Flipping windy, bloody flipping windy. Great on the beach, not on the bike. Coming down fire mountain overtaking cars was a highlight. Did I say it was windy ?
Ah, I'm not a fan of water-based activities. I did this in St Lucia years ago and at 10m it felt like my head was going to implode. Fascinating experience to see coral and sea life up close though.
