Anyone built a Bamboo Bike?

When we did the Tour de Danger there was a girl on one. I don't know who she was. At first I thought she had just painted a bike to look like bamboo (I'd never even heard of a bamboo bike), but as we trundled along I realised it was the real thing.

So the answer is yes someone has done it but who is she?

Might be the girl I talked to on the London Tour de Death ride. A handmade bamboo bike with the tube held together by fibre-resin wrappings round the joints. Don't know her name unfortunately.

I wouldn't start with a fixie - it puts much more strain on the chainstays so not a good one to learn on.
