Had a crack at it last September, best bit of advice would be make sure (as far as you can) that the weather is going to play ball for the length of our ride, unless you are bloody fit you will only get one crack at it unless you are in the area long enough to allow for recovery.
When I did it I only had a possibility of two days out of the 4 I was there that looked promising.
I set off from Bedoin first which I would advise before the heat in the forest becomes stifling, the weather for me was ok a little blustery on the summit, at this point I was unsure if I would attempt the Cingles on this first day so dropped to Sault with the intention of cycling back to Bedoin via Gorge de la Nesque. The Sault route a been totally resurfaced in smooth tarmac

.
In Sault, Ventoux was still bathed in sun so did an immediate U turn and headed back up, this was virtually a recovery ride after the ascent from Bedoin. Again the Summit was a little blustery with a few clouds beginning to gather, but in for a penny. Dropping back into Malaucene I stopped for lunch which either saved me from a real drenching or kyboshed my attempt, Leaving Malaucene I made it maybe 7k before the rain started, I didpush on for a couple of K but then riders started stopping on the way down with tails of real problems at the summit, so I turned turtle and returned to Bedoin via the Col de Madeleine. When I made it back my camp was under water

I did make it up from Malaucene a couple of days later but it was extremely windy (thinks boulders being blown across the road like tumbleweed and pushing the bike downhill, in a TAIL wind
Did a couple of other rides in the area but my attempt at the Cingles was blown.
Might try again another year, Good luck with your ride.
