A silly idea, but does make me think that maybe a trailer tent version could actually work - less drag, more space etc - or just a trailer with a tent in it 
Given what a real caravan is like I can only imagine that bike version being a total nightmare with crosswinds/headwinds and possibly even tailwinds, or being overtaken and sucked into large vehicles.

Ideally, I'd pull the caravan with a recumbent trike, giving me total stability, and ensuring I had comfy seating to hand for sitting outside the caravan of an evening....
