Have googled how to do it, but can't actually work out how to do it (duh).
Just want to lend Mrs F one of the books I've bought.
Cheers

Can you not just let her use your Kindle, or does it have things on it you don't want her to see? Nudge nudge wink wink!

When I last checked this, it wasn't a service available in the UK. Amazon Prime allowed a limited loan from Amazon's own library but not person to person.

Bearing in mind you can use multiple devices per account, is there a PC or another device she can access where the app can be logged into in your name?

Thanks for the replies folks... yes, she can read it on the PC, but just wanted her to be able to read it any-old-where on actual kindle machine or ipad. She's not getting her hands on my android tablet though, just got it! and don't want it broken yet

This is actually very easy to achieve. We have two kindles and two tablets in the family. Each uses the same email address for the Kindle account and all books are available on all devices.

Obviously best only done within the family to ensure email security.

If you bought the book from Amazon then you just log into your Amazon account and send the book to another Kindle. I have bought books there plenty of times and then sent them to other kindles. They just have to be bought from the one Amazon account and the kindles registered to that account. If it wasnt bought through Amazon then the above suggestions are more appropriate.

We use a shared drive, that way we can put everything on it we want to share...movies, books, etc

This is how I control my Mother in law......

She is too naive and trusting to have unfettered internet access, so I have her Kindle registered as one of mine.

We then meet up regularly for lunch, I update her book(s) using either WiFi, or a personal hotspot... then disable it again

That works well for us.

Funny thing is that when it comes to seeing my content, she has become interested in CJ Sansum, Rory Clements and even Bernard Cornwell!

Only downside is that her choices really make a difference to the "Amazon recommends" lists
