I'm pondering to go back to film, just one nice 35mm SLR, possibly an old Nikon body as I've a couple of proper "full size" Nikon lenses, not DX which I use on my DSLR.

Just had a look in the Praktica b100 battery compartment with the intention of getting a battery unfortunatley it's empty so have no idea what I need , does anyone have any idea of the battery number/id. I had a look on line but I've had no luck so far.

Cheers

have a look at the manual: http://www.butkus.org/chinon/praktica/praktica_b100/praktica_b100.htm
If the battery is no longer available, you need to google a suitable alternative.

The little photography i do these days is all analogue. I have 15 rolls of colour film sat in the fridge for the last 12-months waiting to be home developed.

now that bluebells are out, i may get my tripod and medium format out for an afternoon.

Praktikas... Blimey...

I picked up several, plus a couple of Soviet era Zenits for 99p a pop in a charity shop last summer... They're on the older side as they take M42 screw mount glass.

I've owned an F3HP for many years, and love it. If you fancy something lighter, I always got on well with the FE2. For all the mod cons, an F90, maybe?

Hi John, I'm hoping to use my AF lenses. As you say F80, 90 or 100 will do the job nicely.
Stupidly I sold my old F801, but at least they are peanuts now.

The sleepers seem to be the cheapo plastic throwaway F65, F55 series, not sure on the look of them though.

My first Nikon was an EM bought in 1982, paid approx £80 for it, small deposit and 50p per week on HP!
The prices they go for now are silly.

Back in the day I worked as a technical writer on Amateur Photographer. The camera cupboard was full of just about anything on the market - suppliers hoping we'd write reviews - so I had my pick. I picked the FE2. I still have one, tho' in truth I haven't used it in years. Keep intending to get that darkroom set up, but...

Any Nikons of that era were excellent machines. But for me at least the FE2 was the pick of the bunch.

I was an avid reader of AP back in the late 70's and early 80's. Your post inspired me to google my old hero from AP Vic Blackman. You didn't know him perchance?
I've got an old Nikon FM and various lens gathering dust in cupboard, one day I'll put them to use again.
