Anyone know what this moth looking thing is?

It's no more than a three inch wingspan, I can't see it doing you any harm.

Funny how some like me, look on butterflies as ok, even nice, but moths as being scary. Maybe it's because moths don't gently flutter like butterflies. Instead they dive bomb and do frantic movements which can make some scared of the things.🤔
