Anyone know why he might be beeping at me if he is?

I had a guy beeping at me when I had a big red bus in front of me, if he was what could the reason be?

Traffic is slow, hills is coming up, im in the middle of the road on the left side that is and other cyclists are about two are behind him which both meet up with me as I stop seeing if It is safe to overtake a bus at his stop which it is not. Me and the cyclist leaves Mr MTB behind and the beeping van is gone.

If it was because I am in the middle of the left hand side...well what is he going to accomplish ?

(Sorry if you think putting up videos is annoying, I try to stop myself for doing it too many times in one week.)

Maybe you didn't recognise your mate? Or he mistook you for some one els.
Short beeps arnt as horrible as long blasts. From you vid I can't figure it out. But really this is nothing just ignore folk and enjoy your riding

If he'd been beeping at you I'd have expected a bit of verbal when you all stopped for the bus. Maybe he thought you should have been further over to the left just after the pinch point (I don't think this btw, I can see the parked cars!!) so he could have overtaken you in the cross hatched area just after it; maybe it was something to do with the other cyclist; maybe his favourite football team scored a goal; maybe he is a composer and had a moment of inspiration; who knows? They all look like nonsense answers to me.

When i get beeped i avoid eye contact and just give a thumbs up. If they know me or if it's a friendly beep they'll accept it. If it's an aggressive beep it'll wind 'em up!

i immediately stop in the middle of the road and check my back wheel. Can't think of any other reason someone would beep me if i was in primary.

It's usually an indicator that your road positioning is correct.

Didn't sound like angry beeping more like the horn from the Dukes of Hazard at the end. The most annoying thing in that video were those tards on their bikes coming out of the precinct telling people to chill.

Yeah, I have had long horrible beeps and some two quick toots of the horn and a car passing which i dont mind, this one just made me curious on why he was beeping I could care less as long he is not shouting anything at me I ignored it. It was short beeps but seemed too many too slow for a tipical "Hey mate!" But yet we're all different and do different things. It was quite fun

I like the composer bit, I'll take that as the reason lol, yeah aslong he is not screaming at me I really do not care why but I was curious why as it was a strange type of honks , they sounded different each time as if he had 3 horns lol
