Anyone out in this weather?

I don't know what it's like in the rest of the country but here we've got 50mph winds and showers and the temperature is back down to autumnal. I was due to go out today but have sacked it off for tomorrow but the rest of the week isn't looking too much better. I may deploy the mtn bike.

I am commutting each way. 5 miles each way river wind and mist coupled with and rain and splash off the greasy roads. Hardwork!

Not on my bike, no. The wind is currently playing tunes in my chimney stacks and I don't fancy getting blown under a bus! It is also 'somewhat damp' out there ... I'm going to go for a stroll to the shops though for some fresh air, and I want to see what is happening to the local rivers. According to the online reports from the river sensors the rivers are only halfway to their flooding levels.

Nope, doesn't appeal to me today either. We have enough crap days over the winter months where it can be a bit of chore, don't feel the need to be 'ard in the summer too. I'll just do more miles the next time the sun's out and it's dry and warm. :bicycle:

Yep. Did my normal commute into town crunching over piles of tree debris in Hyde park. Felt like I was leaning at 45 degrees into the wind at some points - slightly worrying moment near Paddington when I felt my front wheel shift under me in a big gust. My cycling clothes are currently dripping over the floor of the changing room which needs a drying rack ;)

Seems to be drying out nicely outside now though.
