Ok I lied just been for a 6 mile spin . Fitted my old back wheel with an 11 28 Cassette and wanted a test ride with existing chain from an 11 25 set up . So waited for the rain to stop and and out I went its was windy !!! Didn't mind the headwinds for testing the low gears but the crosswinds !!!! Borderline stupid for going out but heyho
By the way wheels worked fine Im ready for some Cornish hills in July

Yep as per the commuter thread i did indeed and it was horrid, now contemplating the return journey as those reported 60mph winds might put me off!

Decided not to go out as winds gusting over 50mph, so trying to do damage limitation in my garden. Hoping for better weather tomorrow for my club run.

Another hardy commuter here.
Pretty nasty out this morning. Heavy rain, strong winds and cold... made for an interesting ride to work.
(asks himself why he didn't go the direct route to work this morning)

Very wet and very windy here so no ride today. Not looking much better as far as the wind is concerned for the next few days either.

Not too bad here today on the commute, but last night was bonkers. Got soaked within 2 minutes and the other 35 were just battling to get home.

Brownie points only last for 1 day then they are wiped clean and you have to start again.

Usual commute here too. Extremely wet but quite fun in an odd way. Flew home with a helpful tailwind in 34 minutes. I'm pretty sure that's the fastest I've ever done the 9.5 miles, despite the lashing rain.

Not so good.Had to transport a pair of boots in a box and was doing fine but then down one of the backstreets got caught in a crosswind that nearly had me off.
