Anyone out in this weather?

Bike went into the LBS for a new crankset so my timing, for once, was just about spot on

Did a sweaty sesh on the turbo whilst watching the cricket in the conservatory this morning

This time last year I would have thought nothing ofnit. These days I don't want to ride even in the mildest spitting rain where I told up the brompton and patently wait at the busy stop.

Not on a bike but, I spent the day standing on a very exposed (ex) runway in the East Midlands. I don't think I have been wetter or colder in June before.

Nope. Did my errands by car today.

If the cats don't want to go out, then that's a pretty good indication that it's rough outside. Even when it finally stopped raining, it was still blowing a right hooly. Might have a go tomorrow, but no guarantees.

Tomorrow's forecast is looking good here, so thankfully I'll be able to make up for some list time for the rest of the week.

I was out and it was crap. Nearly had a nasty off - not sure if it's debris that built up in the chain or cogs, but having had to stop sharply in a bigger gear than I'd normally stop in, I went to pull away and the whole mechanism seized...on a main road...bike started swaying and I managed to get the cranks going again, luckily just one car immediatel behind tha had given me sufficient room. Bit miffed as never had any problems with my older bikes.

Another commuter here - 12.5miles in this morning when it was dry & breezy, then 14.5 miles home when it was properly windy & chucking it down.

It's still windy here but not as bad. The trouble is I've mentally switched off today, so I doubt I'll go out unless someone boots me up the arse, metaphorically speaking, that is.

Set out along prom this morning and sacked it off after 12 miles,too windy for me.Anything but wind !!

Ive done a minimum of 10 miles everyday this year so far, no draughty damp day in June is going to stop me after some of the grim January/February Days.

That said I was barely in double figures on the flat at some points, The ride home was somewhat more pacey, with some PBs.

Yep cycling to work as usual. A bit hairy downhill in that wind.
