Anyone out in this weather?

It's still windy here but not as bad. The trouble is I've mentally switched off today, so I doubt I'll go out unless someone boots me up the arse, metaphorically speaking, that is.

This afternoon should be nice, the wind should be more normal and no rain. Get out now whilst the going is good.

Should be ok tonight , it was very rough on the back roads with a few branches off trees in places and the car felt like it was being blown off course when you passed a gap in the hedgerows.

I went into Northwich today for a job interview, think I looked surprisingly passable considering I'd cycled along the narrow river path through puddles and being scraped by nettles and ducking under branches in the wind and driving rain. Waterproof is ripped but kept me dry.

Usually park at sainsburys but new bike parking has been created at Northwich now near the new shops and living wall so able to use that now which is much better View attachment 355892

I didn't get the job, I'm not surprised as I was honest about having a job and when they said about overtime I said it was no problem apart from the hours of my other job which is seasonal and busy in school holidays which they are too, and to be fair present job does come first so I don't blame them. It would have meant me working seven days a week in the summer too so think it's for the best...extra money would have been nice though

Wouldn't have been ideal I'll just have to save enough during the summer to keep myself over the winter til job starts again in March, could always get a job over Christmas

I never got out and the weather is still a bit shoot today but perversely I quite like it like that sometimes, so I was planning on hitting the road and I've woken with a slight cough and the feeling that someone has removed all the bones in my body. Try again tomorrow.

Managed to get out on my normal commute , dry all night till home time

Having the two bikes kitted up for different conditions, It's only very high winds or ill health that stop me.

I've been out this morning and done 50 miles, it started raining just before I got to the cafe but had stopped by the time I left and stayed dry all the way home.

About 3 people going on my club's ride tonight. Everyone else is chickening out including me.

I don't mind cycling in the rain if I have to, for instance when commuting. I don't see the point cycling in the rain for fun. Rain is at best unpleasant at worse hazardous.
