Anyone use a Streetwize (Unpowered) "Power Washer" instead of an outside tap?

I have a weed sprayer, which has only ever had water in it, for bike cleaning duties. Some of my bikes live in the house so need to be relatively clean before going inside. It's enough to wash off any loose grim, make the bike wet enough for a clean and then rinse off bubbles. Works for me and save bringing round the hose from the back of the house. Wouldn't be without it.

I bought a Nomad 18v Lithium Ion portable pressure washer years ago, its great and comes in handy for all sorts (wife uses it on the car).

16l or 20l tank iirc.

Reading between the lines Ryobi make it (uses identical battery pack and charger as their one+ kit).

In my mountain biking days, I used a 5litre multi purpose plant sprayer. Pressure generated by hand pump. Good for blasting most of muck off before loading bikes in car to comw home. Used with a scrubbing brush so no need to use lots of pressure.

Had a similar one to that streetwise one off eBay;was ok but the pipe was a bit weedy and the plunger broke in the end.

Now just got a Hozelock one which seems more substantial.

Was looking at something like this myself, to keep outside where the bikes are so I can rinse off the drivetrain etc. The last few weeks the gritters have been out and the chain was starting to get rusty.

I've used one of those plant sprayers before and it's basically the same thing as what you've linked too. It was alright for getting the soap and stuff off but I found a watering can did a better job.

Fool! You should have the toilet lid down while you do that......

Can't possibly have another half. Toilet lid up, bike in bath !:stop: (May not be his photo).

Seriously considering either the 'big' plant sprayers to get the crap off the bike before putting it in the car. Easy at home, hose off, spray with muck off, go get myself clean, then hot soapy water and wash the bike.

It's a hotel room. Which has given me an idea for when we do the trail centres again next year as the bikes are kept in the room
