Are the straws from cans of GT transferable to use on WD40?

I've just finished a can of WD40 and am about to start on a can of GT but it has no straw. Are they compatible with one another or is there a special adaptor that I'd have to buy. I don't want to just try and force it in case it causes damage to either the straw or the "nozzle"
Anyone else tried this? What were the results.
Also do I have to clean the straw out first to stop any possible adverse reaction between the two products.

I have different length straws to give a differing spread of 'lube' the shorter the straw the wider the spread and vice versa. Be careful using no straw at all though f'ing stuff goes everywhere.
