Are the straws from cans of GT transferable to use on WD40?

I use the WD 40 silicone spray on suspension fork legs and occasionally the chain.

For the purpose of the important matter under discussion in this thread, the can has a neat fold out integrated straw.

I bought one of these with the straw built in and still lost it

We use GT85 WD40 and TL-45 at work, all come with a straw and they're all different diameters. PITA if someone's lost the straw..

I decided to cut my GT-85 'straw' in half; 3 parts would have been a bit too short.

A pal who used to be a bike mechanic called round when I was doing it. He said that they always did it where he used to work. Not only did they have spares for when straws were lost, but the short ones are better for controlling exactly where the spray goes.

You need the same ID or you're going to run into all sorts of problems with your pressures and flow rates.
I think length will be a factor too. Most of those WD40 and GT85 straws are unnecessarily long - the 35mm one clicked onto the top of the cans you can buy in Lidl (brand I can't recall) was effective.
