Went out for a pedal this morning; loads of runners and cyclists about. Plenty of friendly "hellos" from runners, and two ladies on bikes. Absolutely nothing from other blokes on bikes - stony silence. Have we MAMILs become a miserable bunch?

As an old age trike cyclist (86) and NEVER suited up with "the kit", it is the same here. Almost everyone on the MUP waves back when I wave, except the fully kitted riders on $5000 bikes and up. Maybe they dont see anyone, because their head is down staring at their front wheel.

Good timing. I remarked to my wife this morning that I had a few good mornings on my ride earlier but a complete blank from one guy…he definitely had all the gear and so was obviously much better than me (not)😂.
Also..I was overtaken once on a country road by a guy on a time trial bike…miserable **** never said a word on his way past.

IMHO it’s nothing yo do with cycling..some people are just tosser/s

I don't get this gratuitouos greeting thing. It's not as if we are all Landrover drivers or live on a small island.
