Guilty on all counts Judge. I am addicted to my own stats.
When I get home I write everything into my book - Mileage. Ave/Max Heart Rate, Calories, Feet Climbed, Best 10 mile segment Average Speed/Cadence + Daily Workload based on Heart Rate Zones as defined by Friel. I then tot up my weekly effort and at the end of the month ? ......... guess what.
Do I enjoy my riding - you bet I do.
PS My Eddington Number is 47

My average has been the same 14 ish mph for years. I do most of my cycling in east Lancashire which is quite hilly, compared to Norfolk where i did some flat miles in July. My average went up around 3mph then, but my biggest feel good thing was the amount of miles i did each ride compared to how many i do on these hills. If ever the day comes where i can't do as many miles as i once could,it'll be far more upsetting than being able to do the same miles but in a longer time.
