Queen's Greatest Hits has become the first album to exceed 6 million sales in UK.
That means 1 in 3 households has a copy.
I have a copy, in fact, between me and the wife we have copies of all the albums in the top 5.
Does anyone own none of these top 5 albums?

I must confess that I have the Queen one - in my defence it was the Platinum 3 disc edition and was priced at £1 in a charity shop.

I have the ABBA and the Oasis. Both bought relatively recently, when I decided that I should educate myself with some of the music that I hadn't been listening to for the previous 30 years!

We have in at least two formats. CD and Cassette, possibly also bought on MP3 format too. So 1 in 3 becomes 1 in 6 or 9 if our house is taken as the norm.

Queen - No - Cant stand them! Never understood what the fuss was about.
Abba - I think there is one in the house but nothing to do with me!
Sgt Pepper - Just a bit annoying really
Adele - Got that one.
Oasis - I was 35 by then and so out of the loop.

So 2/5 for me.

there are some real stinkers in there.
Perhaps I don't like much mainstream as I also have never liked Michael Jackson or Pink Floyd.

Isn't it a bit like the most popular car being a Fiesta or the most popular sandwich being Cheese? Far from the best car or sandwich.
