Apart from a boy scout cap and cycling helmets, the only other headwear I owned was one of those hats with flaps that cover your ears. Got it while hiking one winter, but looked such a prat that I never wore it again.

Yes, I have always sort of had an agreement with myself in that if I were ever to find myself needing one of those hats, then I would resolve that I should get cold, or die, but not wear one of those hats.
