I pick up my dog's poo! and she takes up 3/4 of the bed even though she's only small. She's not really my dog, I'm her human.

Having said that she totally deserves it, she's the best dog in the world and had a bad time before she came to me. We've been together for four years, she's 17 and the love of my life. I'm dreading the end and I know it won't be long now :'(

Spoiled, no; indulged, yes.

The problem is that MrsRM is a really soft touch and will tell off Mr Fluffypops with a cuddle, whereas I will address Max Fightmaster in his full Sunday name using a stern voice and tap him on the nose.

Thankfully there isn't a stupid nickname for Tango McNaughtyface but that can't be far off...

Aw, he's a handsome old gent. Our old boy loved cheese, maybe it's an older cat thing, he was 20.

Definitely not an older cat thing. Every single cat I've had (8 at current count) has been a cheese fiend from an early age. Less of an issue in a 90% vegan household these days but on the odd occasion I've fancied a bit of cheese it needs to be carefully guarded.

I once left a block of cheddar on the counter, cling filmed, went to the corner shop for some bread and in that 5 minute trip Clyde (sadly no longer with us) had managed to get into it and consume half. I admonished him by cutting off the bit he'd gnawed, giving it to him and continuing to make my toastie. A moment of weakness.

To be honest, I think they'll eat pretty much anything. Max loves broccoli, carrots and soy milk, Tango likes granola, grapes and bananas.

Max also loves chips, which we found out when a friend of ours said she'd seen him outside the chippy, eating from a discarded tray of them. It had been raining for some time so they must have been all wet and minging.

Daft wee creatures.
