Arm warmers that aren't warm?

Sound silly - but it will make sense.

My wife wears t shirts exclusive,y when touring, but when she wears waterproofs, the lack of a layer between arms and jacket causes an unpleasant clamminess.

The ideal concept would be a pair of arm warmers, but ones that are wearable in warm weather.

Does such a thing exist?

You can get lycra ones (most have some sort of fleecy backing, the ones I'm thinking of don't). I have one pair of these, made by a Belgian company called "Star", and apparently supplied to a small team over there, bought on the well known auction site.

The other use would be to keep the sun off your arms - I noted in the lbs the other day some 'Solar Arm Covers' from Specialized for just this purpose with a Factor 50 protection - but £30 was a little dear.

Any cheap lycra arm warmers will do. I mainly use mine to keep the sun off.

If it's wet and warm I am happy with skin, which is waterproof and windproof; but presumably your wife cycles with a long sleeved rain top.
