@Louch I just heard something third hand this morning about a "Great Arran cycle run" being held the same day as you are all going. 50 riders plus motorbike escort etc.. Just thought I should give you a heads up in case CalMac are restricting bikes on the ferry that day. Unlikely, but maybe worth checking. I googled but can find nothing about it.

I could fit the bike rack on the back of the SAAB as it takes three bikes easily, four at a push. @ShooglyDougie I owe you a lift from last year. Quite happy to drive through.

Thanks, that would be much better than both of us driving through, and if @Telemark is able to make it would probably be more comfortable than trying to fit three folk with bikes into my wee car. Its a lot further than the Fourth bridge so I will get your ferry ticket to cover some of the petral costs.

There's been dozens of bikes on the boat before, I don't see it stopping us. Just means be there earlier, and we need To be faster to get to the cake first. Scabby chips, not so much if they are cycling and climbing , i can't see them being on the 945.

The first time we went last year i think there was 100's of bikes on the ferrfy.
