As for a tyre boot, got any duct (duck) tape, make yourself a patch about 4 layers thick. This will work great as a boot. You want strong and flexible. Some plastic is a bit too sharp on the edges and will puncture a tube.

Lezyne patch kits include a tyre boot as well..

This sort of event is one reason why I've never spent more than £20 on a tyre. OK they might not last as long but it's all a game of chance.

Similar thing happened to me, thankfully on an old(ish) GP4000S about 25 miles from home. Had to tear the ruined tube apart to form a boot due to the size of the split.

To add to the problems, the spare tube had been in my seat pack for so long it also had a hole in it where the multi-tool had rubbed so that had to be fixed as well!
