Sandra, what's a cycle desk?I say to whoever's on the cycle desk "my bike's wet, it's making those funny noises again" and when I come back it's ready to go.

On a serious note; dont worry too much about it. Quick dry with a rag or Ian's bouncing method as above should sort it.
I tried that,it buckled my wheels.![]()
It is the desk in the middle of the cycle sales area where all the "fitters" hang out.Sandra, what's a cycle desk?
My bike is kept inside at work. I like to dry it off a little before wheeling it through some public corridors. Failing to do that would hinder this perk. The trouble comes when i arrive covered in snow and slush. I clean the worst off the bike with a brush but always end up with a couple of filthy puddles marking my spot. I always have to nip back when i can to clean these!
At lunch time I go down and take the seat off and empty all the water out of the frame.
Oil the chain when I get home and then complete strip down at the next opportunity
Please tell us you did bounce your bike when you were dismounted???!
How does water end up inside your bike's frame?! If you took the seat and post off I can understand but otherwise no. I cover the seat post tube with a placcy bag.
it amazes me too, but it does accumulate and quite a lot
