One day, ALL your cycling gear will end up dirty, and in your locker at work, cos you said to yourself "ah, I'll take it home tomorrow".

Regular
My mountain bike is more comfortable than my road bike.

My mountain bike is quicker along the road than I thought it would be.

I like the Mekk Poggio that Jo has on trial at the moment.

The Mekk is the fastest bike I have ever ridden.

I want a Mekk!:addict:

Regular
I'm becoming hooked on Endomodo.

I don't know whether I want to ride my MTB to work on a regular basis, even with slicks.

I don't like riding into a headwind.

Having commuted properly and seriously for a fortnight now, here are my observations.

- Waterproof clothing is to prevent your back sweat from splashing other road users.
- Heavy rain gets in your eyes and on your shoulders. No other body parts are affected.
- Endless streams of traffic only ever appears when you want to turn right. At no other point will you see other road users.
- Cars make people selfish and nasty. The bicycle is the single best invention ever.
- What use are the gears on the back wheel, other than keeping the chain straight?
- Wildlife doesn't hear you coming, so you get treated to animal encounters.
- Squirrels will give you a daily brake test.
- Pedestrians have all been spun around and pushed before they attempt to cross the road, and wear balaclavas back to front.
- Loads of bikes are slower than mine. Apart from Saturdays when mine is the slowest.
- When motorists make eye contact with you at junctions and mini islands, they will cross your path at the last available second.

Ah, yes, I've picked up on that trick already as I do take my clothes for the week in on the first day. Just lucky I had my 'emergency' pants in my locker when I forgot a clean pair after my shower. I guess you learn by your mistakes.
I forgot pants lat night - was the traditional naughty night nurse!

Nothing wrong with going commando, it frees you up, you don't have to readjust yourself every so often and best of all, you get the great feeling of fresh air in the places you normally dont!

Not so good if you are wearing revealing clothing though.... Or maybe it is!

Add to those, these:
  • It is uphill both ways
  • A morning headwind will turn through 180 degrees by home-time
and finally...

  • no matter how crap your day, remember; you will be getting to have a bike ride before getting home :wahhey:

TWO very true points and to the last one umm its work just a rest between rides??
