I had to laugh though! ''How many posts has she read?'' would be a more appropriate question,I'm talking about training to read the road. How much have you had to command such an arrogant position of grandeur ?

That's right, this is a cycling forum. Motorbike forums are that way ----->

Anyhow, have you noticed the similarity between an HGV's blind spot and an ASZ plus feeder lane? Personally, I keep coming back to the notion of a shared, merge-with-bikes priority zone in the left hand lane approaching junctions. No ASZs would then be necessary. The merge-with-bikes bit is so that, in the event of a fatality, the HGV left-hook would be a criminal offence. If bikes can't filter (no filter, no overtake) for 50 or so yards, that seems a fair price for surviving.
Better still, just scrap the dangerous ones like asl's cos they tick boxes but increase risk. The only ones to benefit are the council's as it increases their budgetsSCRAP ALL CYCLE FACILITIES COZ THEY ARE SH!T.
Ive got to admit, I didnt even know cyclist filter lanes for ASLs even existed until I read this thread.
