Attaching Washing Line To Concrete Post

hi
would anyone have any ideas how to attach a washing line a concrete post?
i won't be drilling into the post. I could screw it into the fence but would rather it on the post.
some sort of strapping with a jubilee clip i was thinking...

Jubilee clips / strap would be ideal and preferably stainless so it doesn't rust. Local councils do most of there road signs with it. Or threaded rod through the hole already on the post.

Hope this helps, I have just attached a couple of those washing lines in our garden. The metal clamp are available from eBay around £10. The wooden one I made using decking and bolts with washers and nuts.

Just tie the line around it?

If there is a hole what about an eye bolt?

If not have about some lashing? Perhaps over some duck tape to prevent abrasion.

A bit of cord round the post would work just fine.

Another vote for the 2-part galvanised post-fix brackets here (as @dicko posted, above).
I've had a pair of these across our back garden for... now I come to think of it, 20 years with no issue. They've outlasted about 4 of the retractable washing lines

Or resin and a suitable eye-bolt

We use resin anchors for permanent belays for caving, so even a slap-dash install will likely be fine for a washing line

I recently installed this very reel to our concrete post. I drilled two holes, knocked in a couple of rawl plugs and the ancient concrete split - but they do seem to have held. If i could go back in time I'd probably use a large jubilee clip or hose clamp.

liking this idea, i'll probably use two bits of wood front and back bolted together
think i've some threaded rod , hopefully enough
