My friend's sister-in-law is still in an induced coma with serious burns over a large area of her body. However, it looks like she will survive.

Best wishes for her. It seems that there are a few intensive care victims who still have not been identified, which gives an idea about the severity of their injuries. I'm not going to use the word lucky but at least someone knows who she is. (Meanwhile, they just found the body of my niece's climbing partner after she and her partner got avalanched of Ben Nevis in bad February weather. It's always weird when it touches people you don't really know but who are close to people in the family.)

Thanks @theclaud. It was inevitable that their bodies would be found but it's still haunting to know they could be lost out there for so long. I guess it was news of unidentified survivors that brought that feeling of limbo to mind.
