I have only ignored one person on CC and that's because their avatar is an injury and I don't like looking at it.

You can use AdBlock to block an individual avatar.

There are some avatars I don't like: @User14044's, (sorry!) @SheilaH's, @User's, @Citius's, @darth vadar's are a few - sorry folks.
Only one I find really scary, @ianrauk in all his permutations really gives me the ibby-jibbies
Another one that unsettles me is @User: his avatars remind me of the monks in Umberto Eco's novels ... creepy!
