Average sets of traffic lights per mile on your commute?

I think I am very lucky.

My commute is 5.5 miles with only 4 sets of traffic lights, one of them a ped crossing, the route is a combination of road and cycle path.

That works out on average one set of lights for every 1.3 miles.

Is this a record?

I hate to tell you this, but on my 3.5 mile (mainly rural) commute I have no traffic lights :-) I have to dismount once though to use the path through to where I work which avoids the A4.

I think the poll need a zero option, and for us Londoners up to 200 in blocks of 10 or 20.

I'll have to count my number, but I'm sure it way over 50 in a 6 mile commute

Um... I voted on the number per mile as I'm up in the seventies for my whole commute.

By strategic route planning, I go through 2 sets of lights & both of those are at junctions where it's advantageous for me! & that's on a 10.9 mile route & most of the longer routes too (+2 sets if I enter my village from the far end). If I go the short route it's 11 at least.
