22 sets over 4 miles. A total of 3 are dedicated pedestrian crossings that are actually beneficial to pedestrians. 2 are completely anti-pedestrian - they do their utmost to stop pedestrains from crossing the road, despite the fact that pedestrians have no choice but to cross at these points. These 2 and all the others are to stop cars being driven into other cars (or would do if more drivers knew what red lights mean and how box junctions are supposed to work.)

A big fat zero. There are some roadworks but I can avoid them by taking an alternative route.

Only 7 on my commute, 2 of which have been recently installed for no reason other than to waste money and slow down traffic.

I haven't counted as I keep varying my route but I'll get back to you.

I'd say more than 18.Got to be easy over a ten mile commute which includes central Londinium.

just 1 but its not really traffic lights its a railway crossing. Also it can be avoided by using the path through the village. The route i normally take.

25 over 7 miles, but about half of that is meant to be "countryside" ...
Lots have gradually sprung up over the last few years due to various developments along the route. There is no chance of ever breaking my commuting record again ;).

Oops! Voted on the poll title, not description. Should refine my answer.
Too many red ones to count, but hardly any greens.

11 miles -
Tried to count them up, trying to remember which are zebra and which are pedestrian crossings, very rarely have to give precedence. The only one is right at the end , but it helps me out of a right turn "T" junction. About 4 of each.
One set of peak flow lights on a roundabout, only effect me on home wards after an early shift. But not too disadvantageous as on a downhill stretch.
So for "Traffic lights" as opposed to pedestrian crossing as only active on 1/3 of my homeward commutes works out as only 1 per 66 miles.
