I tend to average 12-13mph on my commute, but that's with a lot of hills (no lights though - yipee!).
When I'm cycling to the parents which is "flatter" (only one big hill) than my commute, I can average 18mph. This is on the hybrid though, not tried it on the Galaxy yet, I'm betting I can increase my average on that.

Andy, whatever your commute speed it has to be good but making comparisons is not easy with so many variables during the average commute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
