Babe creator Dick King-Smith dies aged 88

Dick King-Smith has passed away. Hearing this brings back many happy memories of reading and listening to his stories with my children. A sad loss

Is it just me or do loads of famous people seem to die straight after xmas/new year? pete postlethwaite, gerry rafferty, that guy from boney m and the guy mentioned here all gone within a few days. (chuck berry`s also collapsed on stage, but seems to be recovering well)

Loads of people die throughout the year. Xmas and New year give us a focal point in the calender and the illusion that there's a concentration of deaths at these times.
