It's a bit more complicated than that...
Freebie towels of the sort you get when you're eating seafood in a restaurant. They're remarkably good at cleaning hands.

For the bike a wipe with a dry rag is good enough - a spray of GT85 if there's a really stubborn mark.

I use whatever is on offer...if no offers, then off to Poundland!

Anything. The cheaper the better, im only wiping the bike after all. It doesn't matter what make they are, they all do the same job.
I don't know, the Tesco essential ones are small and rubbish really. I certainly wouldn't want to use on a baby's bum, they are rough! I am using pampers from PoundLand. The Tesco ones just for rims until all used up

I prefer oily hands with dirt under the nails......it's the sign of a real man
Ha ha - despite scrubbing, there is still a line of oily stains under the nails on my left hand!

I think Phil is right about the gloves. I did have a big pack from a pound shop but have run out so I will have to remember to buy some more.

I tried a baby wipe earlier after shortening my chain. It got most of the oil off my hands quite easily, and was very good for cleaning hard-to-get-at places on the bike.

No way, it's vicious on there!

Some of the things they talk about put me right off my tea as well.
I liked the thread where someone asked what the etiquette was when the neighbour's athletic support had blown off their washing line in high winds and had landed in the poster's plum tree :laugh:
Some of the replies had me crying with laughter.

This is true. I like to poke baby wipes through the links in my chain(s) to get them sparkly clean. The value ones just break up and leave fluff.
