It’s been quite a while since I did any serious cycling. Back at the beginning of the decade I was commuting daily, riding the odd Audax and even managed an end to end.

Family, work and various other commitments left my with little time following all that and the bike fell into disuse… Until now.

I’ve unburied my steed from the shed & fettled her back into serviceable condition. The frame’s in need of a re-spray, but it rideable and I’ve been slowly improving the mileage & speed.

I’m aiming for possibly a 100k Audax in a month or two.

I stumbled across the forum by accident while searching for something else. It seemed like such a friendly place I had to sign up!

Hi Andy and :welcome:

I think most on here (the older members anyway) have given up and come back at least once or twice.

Plenty of useful info on the site and the natives are friendly.

Yes, I've spotted that...

Picked up a second hand Trek 1000 frame on freecycle. Needed tyres, mechs, bar tape, chain... Still, for around £100 I've got something to ride while my existing frame gets a well deserved seeing to.

Thanks (all) for the welcome.

Cheers
